Meeting Description: 

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and after extensive
deliberation, the organizing committee for CLS 56 has made the difficult
decision to cancel the conference. This is a very unfortunate result for all
those involved, but this seemed like the most prudent action given the
recommendations of the CDC and WHO, and recent statements made by the
administration of The University of Chicago.

CLS 56 still plans on publishing proceedings. We want to assure all authors
that their work will still be recognized. CLS 56 is also considering whether
or not to hold alternative programming. However, we are not currently
committed to any of the options. We will update with further information if we
plan to hold an alternative event.
