The Journal of Second Language Writing editors are pleased to announce that
the winner of the 2019 Best Article Award is Debra A. Friedman, for her
article “Citation as a social practice in a TESOL graduate program: A language
socialization approach”.

The Editors are also pleased to give honorable mention to:

Christine Pearson Casanave for her article “Performing expertise in doctoral
dissertations: Thoughts on a fundamental dilemma facing doctoral students and
their supervisors”

And

Marije Michel, Judit Kormos, Tineke Brunfaut, & Michael Ratajczak for their
article “The role of working memory in young second language learners’ written
performances”.

The winning paper and honorable mention articles will be freely available
