Use your expertise in teaching grammar to help Duolingo users learn better!
Duolingo is looking for a pedagogy expert who is highly proficient in Spanish
and French to help create content to teach grammar implicitly and explicitly.
This is a temporary freelance position (no benefits included). All work will
be conducted remotely and hours are flexible.
Responsibilities:
- Develop content to teach grammar concepts in Spanish and French
- Help create assessments of learners' grammatical knowledge
Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in Spanish
- Advanced proficiency in French
- Native or near-native proficiency in English
- Experience teaching Spanish to speakers of English and/or experience
developing content for language learning curricula
- Ability to think about language analytically (e.g., breaking down
grammatical concepts into smaller parts for the purposes of teaching)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work 15-20 hours a week
Exceptional candidates will have:
- Advanced proficiency in Portuguese
- Knowledge of additional languages
