Meeting Description:
For the first time in 150 years, the Royal Society of Linguistics, Literature
and History of the Southern Low Countries (KZM) will hold its Autumn meeting
fully online. The meeting will take place on Saturday, October 20, 14h-17h30.
Participation is free. The program features a keynote lecture by Albert
Oosterhof, and talks on English, Dutch and Frisian linguistics. It can be
found here: https://kzm.be/. Registration is required, with a deadline of
October 6, 2020.
Program Information:
2.00 pm-2.15 pm: Welcome
2.15 pm-3 pm: Plenary lecture (Department of Linguistics)
Albert Oosterhof (KU Leuven), Language policy, multilingualism and the debate
on the language of higher education in the countries of the language area
3 pm-5.30pm: Section lectures
Each section lecture lasts twenty minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions
and 5 minutes for switching Zoom rooms.
