Meeting Description: 

The 9th conference on Generative Approaches to Language Acquisition
(GALANA-9), hosted by the Institute of Linguistics at the University of
Iceland, will take place virtually on May 7-9. Registration is now open.

The GALANA conference features theoretically informed research on all types of
language acquisition scenarios, including (but not limited to) monolingual
first language acquisition, bilingual/multilingual first language acquisition,
second language acquisition by children as well as adults, third language
acquisition, acquisition of signed as well as spoken languages, language
disorders, language acquisition in the presence of cognitive impairment and
autism, the development of pidgins and creoles, and language attrition.
GALANA-9 was scheduled to take place in Reykjavík in August 2020 but was
postponed due to COVID-19.
 

Program Information: 

On the conference website, https://conference.hi.is/galana9, you will find the
full program as well as a form to register. Talks will be presented live via
Zoom and poster sessions will take place on Gather.
