Subject: Sign-up for Testing VOICE 3.0 Online BETA

 
In the past months, the VOICE CLARIAH project has developed an enhanced and
updated web interface for VOICE, the Vienna-Oxford International Corpus of
English. VOICE is a one-million-word, computer-readable, open-access corpus of
spoken English as a lingua franca (ELF) interactions that was built at the
University of Vienna and first released in 2009.

We are now launching VOICE 3.0 Online BETA, a pre-release test version of the
new VOICE web interface developed by the VOICE CLARIAH team at the Austrian
Center of Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage (ACDH-CH) at the Austrian
Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and the Department of English at the University of
Vienna. 

VOICE 3.0 Online BETA will be made available for a limited period of time
(about 10 days) at the end of April 2021. During this time, we invite current
and future users of VOICE to explore the new interface (e.g. try out new
search, filter and style functions) and to give us feedback in order to
support the final development of VOICE 3.0 Online, which we plan to release as
an open-access corpus tool in summer 2021. 

If you would like to participate and test VOICE 3.0 Online BETA, please sign
up for the VOICE CLARIAH newsletter via https://voice-clariah.acdh.oeaw.ac.at/
(ideally before 21 April), where we will be distributing beta access.
