Abstract:

Trotz einer Vielzahl kulturwissenschaftlicher Forschung ist Angst kein
ausdiskutiertes Thema, insofern als nicht einmal die Semantiken der
sprachlichen Ausdrucksmittel oder die Vielfalt der Konstruktionsformen
genügend geklärt sind. Mit Blick auf die Gegenwart gilt es zu eruieren, welche
Medien Ängste mit welchen Mitteln erzeugen und als angemessene Perspektive auf
die soziale Wirklichkeit durchsetzen. Diesen Fragestellungen widmet sich der
Band.
