Our conference is organised by the Academic Institution Applied Language
Studies House (authorised Delta Centre by Cambridge University, GR091 & GR092)
 with the support of institutions and organisations involved in language
education and research such as Cambridge Assessment English, Research Centre
for Applied Languages and Linguistics, the Journal of Applied Languages and
Linguistics and a number of HE institutions and brings together a large number
of people who are interested in Language Education and Research. The 1st
International Conference on Language Education and Research that took place on
September 28 & 29, 2019 was a unique conference with 40 presenters from 4
continents, 15 countries and 29 institutions (www.lerconference.org). The 2nd
International Conference on Language Education and Research that took place in
a virtual setting on October 2nd-4th, 2020 was more successful with more than
50 presentations, 4 keynote speakers (among them Prof David Crystal, Prof
Douglas Biber and Mr Scott Thornbury), from 5 continents, 21 countries and 38
institutions. 

This year the LERC2021 theme is ''Teaching Beyond the Border: Variation,
Innovation, Technology, Communication''. More than 1000 attendees among them
academicians, educators, researchers and TESOL students are expected to be
updated on new developments in ELT.


Call for Papers: 

This year we intend to have a more interactional mode throughout the day so
that the audience is given plenty of time to interact and share their context.
The format is fluid to meet the expectations of the presenters and delegates.
We welcome a variety of formats as listed below:
 - ​Papers: 20 minutes followed by a 10-minute discussion
 - Workshops: 45 minutes (incl. a 10 minute discussion)
 - Poster presentations: 15 minutes followed by a 10-minute discussion.

​We look forward to your contributions as presenters and facilitators.

Each speaker has the opportunity to present one paper. Accepted presentations
will also be published in the Journal of Applied Languages and Linguistics.

Please send your abstracts (max 80 words) and summaries (max 200 words) to Dr
Paschalis Chliaras, the Conference Coordinator: info at als-edu.com by no later
than 31 May 2021.
