Description:

PTW is in need of freelance native-speaking formally trained phonologists,
specialising in the Urdu, Kannada, Bengali or Gujarati languages, who are able
to do phonemic transcription, audio analysis and other speech linguistic
tasks.

Successful candidates will be part of a team processing large amounts of
linguistic data and carrying out a number of tasks to improve the quality of
our client’s text-to-speech synthesis (TTS) for these languages.

Linguistics Requirements:
University-level coursework in general linguistics, phonetics, phonology, and
experience in phonemic transcription in your native language (Urdu, Kannada,
Bengali or Gujarati).

BA/BS in Linguistics required.
