Meeting Description:
After canceling the edition originally scheduled in 2020 due to the global
pandemic, the French Network Phonologie launches call for papers for its
annual conference in 2021. The 2021 edition will be held from 1 - 3 July in
Clermont-Ferrand (France) and will be organized by the Language Research
Laboratory (EA 999 - Clermont Auvergne University).
Proposals from all schools or theoretical frameworks in phonology are welcome,
and can relate to phonology in general or to the study of a specific language,
synchrony or diachrony. Proposals focusing on phonology and its interfaces,
epistemology, descriptive phonology, experimental phonology, phonological
modeling or formalization are welcome.
INVITED SPEAKERS:
- Helene N. Andreassen (UiT The Arctic University of Norway)
- Sabine Arndt-Lappe (University of Trier)
- Sophie Kern (University Lyon 2 - DDL (UMR 5596)
Call for Papers:
Communication proposals can be written in French or English. They should not
exceed two pages (A4 format, Times New Roman, font 11, single spaces),
references, tables and figures included. Proposals must be submitted in PDF
format on our website.
All proposals will be evaluated by at least two reviewers.
As the conference is bilingual (French / English), we encourage (when
possible) participants to speak in one of these languages and to use
presentations or exemplars in the other.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Deadline for submissions: March 15, 2021
Notification of acceptance: April 15, 2021
Conference: July 1-3, 2021
