Focus: No previous knowledge of the theory of Functional Discourse Grammar will be required; students will, however, be expected to have a basic knowledge of semantics and syntax, and an interest in semantics and language theory.

Description:
This course is intended as an illustration of how semantics can be integrated
into a complete, functionally-oriented theory of linguistics, in this case the
theory of Functional Discourse Grammar (Hengeveld & Mackenzie 2008).
