The 11th International Corpus Linguistics Conference (CL2021) will take place
in the week of 13–17 July 2021, hosted online by the University of Limerick.
Corpus Linguistics is a biennial conference which has been running since 2001
and has previously been hosted by Lancaster University, the University of
Liverpool, the University of Birmingham and Cardiff University. Further
information can be found on our website and on our social media (search
#CL2021 on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram). Co-ordinators can propose to hold
half-day or full-day pre-conference workshops (please see CfP for more
details).
We are proud to have the following plenary speakers at CL2021:
– Carolina Amador-Moreno (University of Bergen)
– Eric Friginal (Georgia State University)
– Bethany Gray (Iowa State University)
– Christoph Rühlemann (Albrecht-Ludwigs-University Freiburg)
We hope to run CL 2021 as a live on-campus conference. However, should
circumstances not permit an in person event, CL2021 will run as an online
conference.
Call for Papers:
We invite proposals across the categories: full papers, posters and panels.
All proposals will be peer-reviewed by the conference programme committee. The
conference will feature six thematic streams and a general programme. The
thematic strands are as follows:
Strand 1 – Corpus Methods and Innovations
Strand 2 – Corpus Linguistics, Pragmatics and Discourse in Contex
Strand 3 – Corpus Linguistics and Applied Linguistics
Strand 4 – Corpus Linguistics, Literature, Texts and Register
Strand 5 – Corpus Linguistics and Speech
Strand 6 – Corpus Linguistics and Sociolinguistics
For pre-conference workshops, we invite proposals for either half day or full
day events. Proposals should be 1,000 words for a half day or 1,500 words for
the full-day, excluding word count for references. Pre-conference proposals
