Meeting Description:

The conference strives to provide meaningful coverage on current trends on all
aspects of Nuba Mountain languages. It also aims to share knowledge about the
Nuba Mountain languages in order to support a democratic development and the
inclusion of all Sudanese ethnicities and languages in the New Sudan. 

The organizing committee has decided the dates for the conference, 14–16
December 2021, and that it will be an online conference with pre-recorded
presentations and online discussions. Slides of the presentations will be sent
by e-mail as hand-outs to the participants.

TIME:  14-16 December 2021
LOCATION: Online event


Final Call for Papers: 

Since the dates of the conference have been changed, the organizing committee
offers a second chance to submit abstracts. 

The deadline for new abstracts is: 31 July 2021.
Notification of acceptance: 31 August 2021.

Abstracts are invited for conference presentations addressing any aspect of
the analysis, description or comparison of the Nuba Mountain Languages.
Abstracts in English should be no longer than 500 words, including examples
and references. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by at least two
reviewers. All theoretical approaches are welcome, but abstracts should
provide a clear indication of the relevance of its conclusions for a broad
audience of linguists and anthropologists interested in the languages of the
Nuba Mountains.

Abstracts should be submitted as MS Word and PDF files to the following
address: helenefatimaidris at gmail.com 

Please make sure that you use a Unicode compliant font and that you do not use
your name in the file name of your abstract. Please send two versions of your
abstract. One should be anonymous, and one should include your name,
affiliation and email at the top of the page, directly below the title.
