The New York-St. Petersburg Institute of Linguistics, Cognition and Culture is an interdisciplinary institute focusing on theoretical linguistics as well as critical cultural studies
NYI is open to advanced undergraduate and graduate students from all backgrounds and countries interested in comparative and formal approaches to theoretical linguistics as well as cognitive science, race and gender studies, study of art & society, critical media studies
Participants create their own program from seminars in the following fields:
- Theoretical Linguistics (Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Gesture Studies, Experimental Linguistics
- Critical Cultural Studies (Race and Ethnicity Studies; Gender Studies; Critical Media Studies, Art & Society)
