Description:
The Department of French at Dalhousie University invites applications from
junior academics for a Limited Term Appointment (10- month term), at the
Assistant Professor level in the area of French linguistics, effective August
1, 2021. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and
permanent residents will be given priority.

Primary responsibilities will include:
- Teaching French language classes at the undergraduate level,
- Teaching linguistics courses at the undergraduate level,
- Teaching graduate seminars in linguistics,
- Serving on departmental committees.
Necessary qualifications, experience and skills:
- Doctorate in hand at the time of appointment
- Specialization in applied linguistics (teaching of French as a second
language) would be an asset
- Experience teaching French as a second language
- Experience using language teaching technology
- Native or near-native fluency in French.
