Description:
The research group Quantitative Lexicology and Variational Linguistics (QLVL)
at the department of linguistics at KU Leuven (Belgium) is seeking to hire a
postdoctoral researcher on a 1-year contract. The researcher will assist the
group in carrying out lectometric research powered by distributional semantics
models (see the project website at https://tinyurl.com/4yr4dvuf and De Pascale
& Zhang 2021 at https://tinyurl.com/tadtrkdx for more information).
The preferred skill set in order of priority includes:
- experience with quantitative and/or computational approaches to analyzing
language (decent proficiency in R and some proficiency in Python),
- experience with variational linguistics
- training in lexicology and/or cognitive semantics.
The contract will begin on 1 January 2022 and will end on 31 December 2022.
The net salary per month is > EUR 2.400, depending on seniority.
