Call for Papers:
The Canadian Journal of Linguistics invites submissions to a special issue on
„Accents in Southern France“. The issue is open to a wide range of methods of
inquiry and approaches, including, but not limited to:
- phonetics
- phonology
- sociolinguistics and sociophonetics
- corpus linguistics
- dialectology including perceptual dialectology
- language contact and second language acquisition.
The editors for this special issue are Elissa Pustka (University of Vienna)
and Daniela Müller (LMU Munich).
Potential contributors are invited to submit a 250-word abstract in English or
French to elissa.pustka at univie.ac.at. Contributors of accepted abstracts will
be invited to submit a full paper, which will undergo the standard peer review
process.
Timeline:
Jan 15, 2022: abstracts due
March 15, 2022: authors notified
Sept 1, 2022: manuscripts due
Oct 15, 2022: reviews returned to authors
Jan 15, 2023: revised manuscripts due
March 1, 2023: reviews returned to authors
June 1, 2023: revised manuscripts due
July 1, 2023: final decisions communicated to authors
Sept 15, 2023: final manuscripts due
