Meeting Description:
TU+ is an annual workshop bringing together all aspects of linguistic research
on Turkic languages, as well as languages in contact with Turkic and those
spoken in geographic regions where Turkic languages are spoken. TU+ serves as
a venue for work on a wide variety of languages from well-studied varieties to
underrepresented and under-studied languages without a formal venue of their
own. TU+ is meant to provide an environment for collaboration, and a space to
share ideas big or small.
Because of the continued unpredictability and serious nature of the ongoing
COVID-19 pandemic, the TU+7 organizers have determined that hosting the
conference virtually on a digital video platform in 2022 remains the safest
and most accessible option. We hope that this continues the successes of the
last iteration of this workshop in removing barriers for presenters and
allowing for wider community participation. We remain dedicated to finding
creative ways to foster the sense of community and connectedness that TU+ is
known for.
Invited Speakers:
Martina Gracanin-Yuksek (Middle East Technical University, Ankara)
Kadir Gökgöz (Boğaziçi University, İstanbul)
