Researcher in project "Modelling the question-statement opposition in Slavic
languages (QueSlav)"
Funding: 65% E13 TV-L (2488-3694€, depending on experience) fixed-term 36
months.
Tasks include research and scientific services within the cooperative project
QueSlav (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin/Charles University, Prague), funded by

experiments (rating, eye-tracking), independently and in cooperation with
primary investigators (Berlin: Roland Meyer, Prague: Radek Šimík). The
position is based in Berlin.
Requirements:
- M.A. (or equivalent) in Slavic Linguistics, General Linguistics or a
related discipline;
- Excellent knowledge of Polish (C1 or native);
- Basic knowledge of Czech and/or Russian or willingness to acquire it;
- Interest in comparative work on Polish/Czech/Russian;
- Solid understanding of linguistic theories, ideally with a focus on
semantics and/or pragmatics;
- Experience with corpus linguistic and/or experimental work is desirable.
Applications (including cover letter, CV, relevant reports, M.A. thesis or a
sample publication, statement of research interests) should be sent in a
single pdf file to roland.meyer at hu-berlin.de and radek.simik at ff.cuni.cz,
mentioning the reference number DR/112/21, by Sep 22, 2021. The call remains
open until the position is filled.
To foster equal opportunities, we especially welcome applications by qualified
women. Handicapped applicants will be given preference if equally qualified.
Applications by persons with a migration background are explicitly
appreciated.
