Description:

The University of Delaware invites applications for the position of Chair of
the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science
(https://www.lingcogsci.udel.edu/). We seek a leader who values a
multidisciplinary approach to language and the mind to help enhance the
Department’s scholarly reputation and visibility within and outside the
University. The Chair will provide academic and administrative leadership,
manage and secure resources for the Department, promote excellence in research
and teaching, and foster a collegial atmosphere that supports the Department’s
mission and vision. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in an area appropriate to
Linguistics and Cognitive Science and will have a distinguished record of
scholarship, a commitment to fostering diversity, and leadership experience
working with faculty, staff, and administration.
