Meeting Description:

The University of Alabama Languages Conference is an annual conference
organized by the graduate students of the Department of Modern Languages &
Classics, in collaboration with graduate students from the College of Arts &
Sciences and College of Education.


Call for Papers:

CFP UALC February 10-11, 2023

The organizing committee of the twelfth annual University of Alabama Languages
Conference is pleased to welcome abstract submissions for this year’s
conference entitled “I Have an Accent: Language, Literature, and Identity” to
be held at the University of Alabama. 
- On-campus only
- Proposals for 20-minute individual presentations
- Organized panels with three or four participants – must include each
individual presenter’s abstract + a brief description of the panel theme (up
to 300 words)
- Abstracts with no more than 250 words (as a Word document or a PDF)
to ualanguagesconference at gmail.com.
- Abstracts should not contain any identifying information.
- Deadline for proposal submission: January 05, 2023.
- Presentations should be given in English, French, German or Spanish
- Inquiries regarding the possibility of presenting in other languages should
be addressed to ualanguagesconference at gmail.com.
