Meeting Description:

The 33rd annual meeting of the Spanish Society for Medieval English Language
and Literature (SELIM) will be held at the University of Murcia (Spain) from
13-15 September 2023. Areas of interest for linguists include Historical
linguistics and philology, including Old and Middle English languages and
literatures. Participation is open to all scholars interested in these fields.


Call for Papers:

The Spanish Society for Medieval English Language and Literature and the local
organising committee invite members of the Society and all other scholars
interested in the field to participate in the 33rd International Conference of
SELIM, to be hosted by the research group E020-11 ''English Philology and
Historical Linguistics” and the English Department of the University of Murcia
from September 13th to 15th 2023. The organisers welcome papers dealing with
any aspect of medieval English language and literature. We especially
encourage the submission of papers that offer new readings or perspectives on
medieval English texts, as well as new approaches and analytical techniques. 

Members of SELIM and non-members are invited to send their proposals for
20-minute papers (300-word abstract excluding references) before February 3rd
2023. Acceptance of proposals will be confirmed by March 31st 2023.
