Description:

The Linguistics Research Department at UCL invites applications for a
permanent position in Computational Linguistics, broadly understood. The post
has been established at the level of Assistant Professor (UK Lecturer). Start
date ideally is September 2023.

The successful candidate will have a clear program of research within
computational linguistics which makes contact with language theory. The
successful candidate will have a record of high-quality publications and
research-related activity commensurate with the stage of their academic
career.

The Department of Linguistics seeks to train the next generation of linguists
who are comfortable integrating computational approaches into their research,
and to offer our undergraduate students development in skills that are
applicable in the information/data industries. The appointee will contribute
to the department’s research, teaching, graduate supervision and
administration.
