Meeting Description:
The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Netherlandic Studies is the
academic ‘home’ of Canadian (and other) scholars, from a myriad of
disciplines, whose research focuses on some aspect of Netherlandic Studies, be
it linguistic, literary, historical, political, diasporic, post-colonial,
art-historical, etc. This year, our annual conference will take place fully
online, for the second time in the history of our association in conjunction
with the Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences of Canada (May 14-15,
2022).
2nd Call for Papers:
The deadline for submissions for CAANS 2022 has been extended to February 25,
2022.
We invite proposals for papers addressing the main theme of this year's
virtual gathering. The theme invites scholars to reflect on changes, inspired
by the ongoing debate on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization
(EDID), in the social and linguistic arena in the Netherlandic world.
We also welcome proposals for papers addressing any other topic related to
Netherlandic Studies, including but not limited to language, literature,
culture, history, art and art history, or politics.
The complete call for papers can be accessed here:
