Call Deadline: 01-Feb-2022
Meeting Description:
The International Conference on Language and Social Psychology (ICLASP) is a
biannual conference of The International Association of Language and Social
Psychology (IALSP). The 17th conference #ICLASP17 is hosted by the Department
of English and Communication, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It brings
together scholars who engage in sociopsychological research and analysis
concerning the role of language in society. It will host a number of panels
across diverse areas including, but not limited to, health, culture, and
current political issues. Discipline diversity is the hallmark of ICLASP and
includes anthropology, sociology, communication, applied linguistics as well
as social psychology.
The conference will be online. It will be an interactive conference and
everyone will engage with ICLASP17:2022.
Call for Papers:
#ICLASP17 welcomes scholars engaging in sociopsychological research and
analyses concerning the role of language in society, including verbal and
non-verbal communication. Papers should be submitted by 1 February 2022 but no
later than 15 February 2022. As this is an online conference, the scheduling
of papers across timezones is complex and we need sufficient time to plan the
programme.
All proposals received by 1 February 2022 will be reviewed, and corresponding
authors will be notified of the status of their submissions by 1 March 2022.
Proposals submitted by 15 February 2022 will be reviewed and notification will
be sent by 15 March 2022.
To make this an interactive ICLASP17, we will be setting up time-zone
dedicated presentations. Our plan is to have synchronous individual papers and
symposia and asynchronous pre-recorded blitz sessions.
