Description:
Applications are invited for an assistant professor + PhD fellowship in
linguistics (Spanish/Portuguese) at the Institut für Romanische Philologie at
the Freie Universität Berlin starting 1 April 2022 with a duration of 4 years.
Salary group 13 TV-L / part-time (50%)
Responsibilities:
- Teaching of courses in Spanish linguistics amounting to 2 LVS (=1 course
per semester)
- Participation in research projects regarding processes of language change
in Spanish and/or Portuguese grammar
- Realization of a PhD project in Spanish or Portuguese linguistics
Requirements:
Completed university studies in Linguistics or (Romance/Spanish) philology
(Master)
Additional criteria:
- Advanced knowledge in linguistic theory, with a focus on grammar, pragmatic
theories, and language change
- Knowledge of empirical methods (in particular, corpus linguistics)
- Advanced knowledge of Spanish linguistics and, ideally, Portuguese
linguistics
