Description:
The English & Modern Languages (EML) Department seeks a tenure-track faculty
member specializing in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and Second Language
(L2) Pedagogy. The successful candidate will teach courses in linguistics,
research methods, SLA, and L2 Pedagogy offered in the English B.A. and M.A.
programs, create new courses in their area of scholarly and professional
interest, provide service to the Department, College, and the University, and
conduct research. EML is a blended department that seeks to expand its
interdisciplinary connections in teaching and research as well as to further
diversify its students’ professionalization. As such, it welcomes candidates
who have the ability to work across the disciplines already residing in the
Department or the ability to add to the current disciplinary and
professionalizing offerings.
