Meeting Description:
AMAZONICAS is an international conference dedicated to research into the
native languages of the Amazon Basin. The conference is held every other year
in a South American country. Now in its 9th edition, the 2023 conference will
take place in the city of Bogota, capital of Colombia.
Abstracts are invited for oral presentations or posters in four symposia:
- Morphosyntax: Subject, grammatical relations, grammaticalization
- Phonetics & phonology: Contours, complex segments, and secondary
articulations
- Language & society: The social context of language contact
- Special symposium: Language activism in Amazonia
- General symposium: Any topic

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
PDF, 1 page excluding references, 1-inch margins, 12pt font, single-spaced.
Include title. References can be provided in a separate page. Do not include
author names and other identifying information in the abstract. One
single-authored and one co-authored abstract are allowed. The abstract and the
talk can be in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.
