Description:
The Institute of Cognitive Science is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Fellow
(m/f/d) (Salary level E 13 TV-L, 100 %) as part of the
Psycholinguistics/Neurolinguistics group led by Professor Nicole Gotzner. The
position is to be filled as of October 1, 2022. The initial appointment will
be made for a period of 3 years and can be extended for further 3 years.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct theoretically grounded experimental work in the area of linguistic
meaning or language use
- Teach 4 hours per week in English on a topic of choice
- Contribute to student supervision at PhD, Master and Bachelor level
Requirements:
- An academic degree (Master/Diploma) in Linguistics, Psychology or Cognitive
Science as well as a PhD degree
Additional Qualifications:
- A specialization on research in Semantics/Pragmatics using
psycho-linguistic or neurolinguistic experimental techniques
- Expertise in one of the following areas is advantageous but not required:
Eye-tracking, Language acquisition (especially preschoolers), EEG/
event-related brain potentials, Interactive experiments (e.g. combined
production and comprehension), Computational modeling
- Expertise in statistical methods (e.g., mixed effects regression modeling)
- Teaching experience is advantageous
