Meeting Description:

The annual International Society for Humor Studies conference will be held
this year from 27 June to 2 July, 2022. The conference will be held online for
two days and in person for three days at the University of Bologna’s Summer
Residence at Bertinoro, Italy.

The conference aims at a representative overview of the state of the art in
the scientific study of humor; it offers five days of networking possibilities
with humor scholars from a wide variety of disciplines.


Call for Papers:

We welcome proposals in all areas of humor scholarship.

Abstracts dealing with any aspect of the conference theme are invited.
Abstracts should be 250 words long and are expected to follow academic
conventions. Please provide three key words to facilitate scheduling of the
sessions.

Presentations will last 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes for questions from
the floor.
