Subject: Korean Native Speakers Needed for Perception Experiment
I'm a PhD student at Indiana University conducting a study with Isabelle Darcy
to better understand how people hear and remember sounds in their second
language. We're recruiting 10 more L1 Korean-L2 English speakers by April 1.
This is a voluntary experiment that lasts approximately 55 minutes.
Participants have the opportunity to receive individualized feedback about
their second language perceptual skills. The experiment is run online, so
people can participate from anywhere in the world; however, I meet with each
participant individually over Zoom to make sure the experiment runs smoothly.
There are just a few criteria to participate:
1) ages 18-40,
2) native speaker of Korean, and
3) you must be studying or you must have studied at a university in which you
took courses that used English as the main language of communication (though
not all coursework has to be in English).
If you're interested in participating, write to brocca at iu.edu. If you can
share this with anyone who may be interested, here is a flyer shared via
