Legal Annotator at Exos Financial USA

Type: Full-time (40 hrs/ wk)

Location: US; remote

Job Duties:
 - Annotation of legal and financial text 
 - Locating and extracting information from legal and financial documents
 - Validation of results from preliminary models, adjusting annotations as
necessary

Required Qualifications: 
 - B.A. in Linguistics, Pre-Law, or equivalent field (e.g. Language Studies or
English with a concentration in advanced grammar) 

Research experience:  
 - Ability to work independently, remotely; self-motivated 
 - Ability to collaborate with a team while working mostly independently
 - Native-level English speaker

Preferred Qualifications: 
 - Experience with syntax, semantics, and/or pragmatics
 - Experience with sociolinguistics and/or forensic linguistics
 - Background in law and/or legal studies or extracurriculars
 - Background in finance and/or economic studies or extracurriculars
 - Annotation experience, especially in the legal, financial, or linguistics
fields
