Meeting Description:
The Twenty Second Meeting of the Texas Linguistics Society will take place
February 17-18, 2023. The conference will be hosted in person at the
University of Texas at Austin Glickman Conference Center.
While we invite submissions from all subfields of linguistics, this year's
theme will be archives. A special session will focus on ethical data
collection, storage, and access.
This year's conference will feature keynote presentations from:
Zachary O'Hagan (California Language Archive, University of California,
Berkeley)
Ted Supalla (Historical Sign Language Database, Georgetown University)
Danny Law (University of Texas at Austin)

22nd Annual Meeting of the Texas Linguistics Society
Call for Papers: TLS 2023
The Twenty Second Meeting of the Texas Linguistics Society will take place
February 17th-18th, 2023. The conference will be hosted in person at the
University of Texas at Austin Glickman Conference Center. While we invite
submissions from all subfields of linguistics, this year’s theme will be
archives. A special session will focus on ethical data collection, storage,
and access.
This year’s keynote speakers will be Zachary O’Hagan (University of
California, Berkeley and the California Language Archive), Ted Supalla
(Georgetown University and the Historical Sign Language Database), and Danny
Law (University of Texas at Austin).
Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes for
questions/discussion. There will also be a poster session.
Abstract guidelines:
Length: 500 words maximum, excluding examples and references.
Format: Include the title of the poster or paper and the text of the abstract.
The abstract should not include the author’s name, affiliation, or other
identifying information. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.
Deadline for submission: November 18th, 2022
Notification: December 16th, 2022
