Description:

We are currently seeking language consultants with a BA or MA in Linguistics
for any of the following languages: 
- French (France)
- Arabic (Levantine)
- German (Germany)
- English (US)

Productive Playhouse, a production and language services company in Los
Angeles, is currently undertaking language and linguistics focused projects
for a range of locales which will contribute to a broader body of speech
technology. Candidates should be able to commit at least 20 hours across their
week, with the project expected to run for 1-2 months, with a possibility of
extension.

All work is carried out online, can be done remotely from anywhere, and is for
start within a few weeks (December 2022).

Linguist Qualifications:
 - Linguists will provide both general linguistic expertise and
language-specific guidance as needed.
 - Linguists will be asked to transcribe and/or verify pronunciations in a
web-based tool, according to language-specific phonemic transcription
guidelines
 - Linguists will analyse and quality check recorded acoustic data
 - Linguists may be asked to work on data annotation and verbalization
