Description:

Phonetics and Phonology Lab at the Harvard University Department of
Linguistics is seeking a Research Assistant/Lab Manager for research in
experimental phonetics and phonology, using behavioral methods/linguistics
surveys. The RA/Lab Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating
projects related to an NSF-funded grant on phonetics and phonology of speech
and gesture across different languages and dialects. as well as other projects
relating to experimental linguistics study of phonetics and phonology.

Basic Qualifications: 
College background or equivalent experience, preferably in the field of
specific research study. One to two years related work experience (relevant
course work may count towards experience).

Additional Qualifications and Skills: 
Intellectual interest in linguistics/cognitive science, as evidenced by
previous coursework or any other means. Basic web skills (maintaining
websites, spreadsheets). Comfortable with independent problem solving.
Well-organized. Experience with the following technology: Python programming,
acoustic analysis, Praat software, ELAN software.
