Call for Papers:
Matraga, a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal, published by the Graduate
Program in Letters from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, invites
submissions of original articles, review essays, research reports, and book
reviews for its upcoming issue (number 59). The aim is to bring together
studies on the theme ''Language, culture and cognition in usage-based
contexts''. Papers that address linguistic and discursive phenomena in the
light of Cognitive Linguistics and overlapping disciplines are welcome. Topics
of special interest include the experiential basis of language and its
relationship with processes of categorization and polysemy; the relationship
between language, thought and culture; the relationship between discourse,
ideology and morality; the acquisition, development, teaching and learning of
languages, in interactional contexts, including digital ones, within a
sociocognitive perspective. The articles may be written in Portuguese,
English, French and Spanish.
