Description:

The Department of English at Arizona State University invites applications for
a nine-month, full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We are
seeking candidates with a specialty in Linguistics and/or Applied
Linguistics/TESOL.

Specialization is also desired in sociophonetics, sociolinguistics, second
language testing/assessment, endangered languages, language documentation,
Indigenous linguistics, decolonial linguistics, raciolinguistics, or lavender
languages/linguistics and that addresses the needs and lived realities of
culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) individuals and communities,
locally and globally.

Requirements include a Ph.D. (by the time of appointment) in Linguistics,
Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or related field, evidence of professional
engagement with linguistic and cultural diversity, equity, inclusion, and
justice in education and/or society; evidence of a strong research agenda and
potential for publication.
