Description:

Mississippi State University is looking for a Linguistics instructor
with secondary expertise in teaching English composition. The
instructor will have an opportunity to teach Introduction to the Study
of Language (EN 2403), Descriptive English Grammar (EN 3423), Basic
Composition (EN 0103), Composition I (EN 1103), Expanded Composition I
(EN 1104), Composition II (EN 1113), and Accelerated Composition (EN
1173). The instructor may also have the opportunity to develop new
2000- or 3000-level linguistics classes according to expertise. The
instructor will carry a 4-4 teaching load and is expected to support
the Department of English in a service capacity. The instructor will
be eligible to apply for promotion to the rank of Instructor II during
the sixth year of service at the rank of Instructor I.

Minimum Qualifications: MA in Linguistics, English, or closely related
field and college teaching experience.
