The Department of Linguistics (http://ling.ucsd.edu) within the School
of Social Sciences at the University of California, San Diego invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Childhood Language
Development at the level of Assistant Professor with an expected start
date of July 1, 2024.

The selected candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate
level courses; mentor students; conduct and publish research; and
participate in professional activities in the field of childhood
language development. They are also expected to participate in
department and university service.

The Department is committed to academic excellence and diversity
within the faculty, staff, and student body. Given that commitment,
the department is interested in recruiting candidates who engage in
the highest standards of scholarship and professional activity and
will make a strong and meaningful contribution to the development of a

A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $90,600
