Description:

The Department of Language & Linguistic Science is seeking to appoint a
Lecturer in Phonology to contribute to research and teaching from 1 August
2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is full time.

Role:
You will play a full part in the research, teaching, supervision and
administration of the Department, with particular responsibility for teaching
and supervision related to phonology.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
You will have a PhD in Linguistics or allied field, and be establishing, or
have established, a track record of high-quality research in phonology and you
will be committed to excellence in teaching and supervision. We particularly
welcome applications from scholars whose research and teaching interests have
a particular focus on one or more of: acoustic or articulatory phonetics,
computational modelling, quantitative methods, laboratory phonology, L2
phonological acquisition, global Englishes, multilingualism, lesser described
languages.

The starting date is 1 August 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.
