Description:
The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, the State University of New
Jersey – New Brunswick invites applications for a full-time, one-year,
non-tenure track (nonrenewable) position as a Lecturer in Linguistics
with a specialization in Semantics. Duties consist primarily of
teaching at the undergraduate level. This is a 3-3 teaching load
position; the successful candidate will teach three courses each
semester.
Applications should include:
- A cover letter that indicates how the candidate’s profile aligns
with our department’s;
- The names and contact information of three references;
- A curriculum vitae;
- A research statement;
- A teaching statement;
- A statement outlining the candidate’s efforts and commitment to
supporting diversity and inclusivity in linguistics and teaching;
- Teaching evaluations;
- Up to two research papers (optional).
Qualifications:
The candidate must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. with a
dissertation specializing in Semantics or a related subfield of
Linguistics by August 31, 2023.
