Old World in Asia (GLOW in Asia XIV) will be held fully off-line in
Hong Kong, March 6-8 2024, organized by the Department of Linguistics
and Modern Languages, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Call for Papers:
First Call for Papers
We are happy to announce that The 14th Generative Linguistics in the
Old World in Asia (GLOW in Asia XIV) will be held fully off-line in
Hong Kong, March 6-8 2024, organized by the Department of Linguistics
and Modern Languages, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
GLOW in Asia XIV welcomes abstracts on any topic or subfield of
generative linguistics, including (but not limited to) syntax,
semantics, phonology, and morphology.
Keynote speakers: TBA
Venue: The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Key Dates:
Deadline of abstract submission: September 15, 2023
Notification of Acceptance: Around mid-November
Conference dates: March 6-8, 2024
Talks and posters
Abstract submissions are invited for oral presentations and poster
presentations. Each oral presentation will be 30 minutes, followed by
a 15-minute discussion period. When submitting an abstract, the
author(s) should indicate whether they wish to be considered for an
oral presentation only or would also be willing to present a poster.
Submission Guidelines:
Submission must be unpublished original research.
Abstracts should not be longer than 2 pages (A4 or letter size) with 1
inch (2.54 cm) margins.
Abstracts must be set single spaced in a 12pt., Times New Roman font.
Data, figures and references may be set in a smaller font, but must be
within the 2 page limit.
Abstracts must not reveal the identity of the author(s) in any way.
Each author may submit at most one single-authored paper and one joint
paper, or two joint papers.
All abstracts must be submitted online through EasyChair. Email
submissions are not allowed.
