Subject: The Oxford Dictionary of African American English: virtual event recordings
The Oxford Dictionary of African American English (ODAAE) is a joint
project of Oxford Languages (Oxford University Press) and Harvard
University’s Hutchins Center for African & African American Research,
and it is spearheaded by Prof Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Editor-in-Chief,
Director of the Center, and Alphonse Fletcher University Professor at
Harvard.
As the project develops, we are organizing virtual events to provide
all those interested with progress updates, discuss interesting
findings, and convey the views of the project participants.
The events that have already happened, as well as short clips cut from
the event The Oxford Dictionary of African American English: First 100
words are now freely available on the OED public site:
