Subject: CALL FOR PROPOSALS from early-career scholars: Routledge Research on New Waves in Pragmatics, edited by Istvan Kecskes & Monika Kirner-Ludwig

We invite proposals from early-career scholars for monographs and
edited volumes to be considered for publication in our 2020-launched
book series with Routledge, titled Routledge Research on New Waves in
Pragmatics, edited by István Kecskés (State University of New York,
Albany, USA) and Monika Kirner-Ludwig (University of Innsbruck,
Austria).

This book series is an initiative of the American Pragmatics
Association (AMPRA) and aims at producing volumes that present the
latest trends and lines of research in the field of pragmatics by
early-career scholars who have completed their thesis no more than
five years prior to the submission of their proposal.
The proposal can be based on a thesis or any other research topic that
fits into the scope of the series. Our endeavor is to give a
publication opportunity to excellent emerging scholars from all over
the world. The book series will publish both monographs and edited
volumes that reflect new developments in the field. The editorial
board members and reviewers coming from all over the world will ensure
an appropriate and consistent quality control of contributions. We
would like to emphasize that the series is affiliated with AMPRA but
is not in any way restricted to AMPRA members, and conference
participants. This is an international book series that aims to
support early-career scholars and enhance the development of the
field.
We invite early-career scholars – i.e. scholars who have completed
their PhD thesis no more than five years ago – to submit proposals for
monographs (based on their thesis defended within the previous 5-years
or other scholarly work) or collected volumes for double-blind review
to Dr. Monika Kirner-Ludwig: Monika.Kirner-Ludwig at uibk.ac.at.

Formal requirements for proposal submissions (please submit each one
of the following items in an individual document):
- a summary (max. 3 pages) of the project, highlighting innovative
aspects and citing the relevant literature used
- a description of included chapters (10-15 sentences/each with as
many specifics as possible);
- a list of references (no page limit; all references cited must be
included in full)
- a short bio of the author(s);
- confirmation of PhD defense (including date)

Further information may also be found on the AMPRA website:
https://americanpragmaticsassociation.org

We are looking forward to receiving your proposal.

Istvan Kecskes & Monika Kirner-Ludwig
