Meeting Description:
The conference aims to shed light on the roles of linguistics,
translation, and literature in a wide range of settings and domains
(e.g. social, educational, and non-educational and so forth). It also
aims at providing the latest critical theories and models that
contribute to the presentation of the setting-edge development in each
field, which may help understand the interrelationships, if any, among
these three disciplines.
Cognitive Fields and Academic Aspects
First: Literature:
• Postmodern studies
• Postcolonial studies
• Gender studies
• Ethnic and Race
• Cultural studies
• Children literature
• Comparative literature
• World and popular literature
• Critical theory
• Methodologies of teaching literature
Second: Language:
• General linguistics (phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics,
pragmatics, and morphology)
• Applied linguistics and TESOL (bi and multilingualism,
psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, linguistic landscape, and other
related fields)
Third: Translation:
• Translation and globalization
• Approaches to contrastive linguistics and translation studies
• Types of translations and communication
• Instant translation and interpretation studies
Registration Fees:
• Face-to-face participation 300 USD
• Online publication 150 USD
• Companion 250 USD
• Co-authors are treated like attendants or companions in terms of the
fees.
Fees cover the following
• Transportation from hotels in Amman to the campus and vice versa.
• Overnight in 3 or 4-star hotels, and accommodation is in double
hotel rooms. If desired, a single room can be booked with payment of
the difference in cost.
• Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a tea break.
• Trips to a number of tourist and archaeological sites near Tafila.
• Electronic publishing of distinguished research only.
