Meeting Description:
This Section will cover a wide variety of topics within
neurolinguistics and clinical linguistics. Regarding neurolinguistics,
we invite contributions focusing on the representation of speech and
language in the brain. All aspects of language and speech are of
interest, including but not limited to lexicon, semantics, morphology,
grammar, and prosody. We endorse research on healthy volunteers, and
patient samples (e.g., individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy,
brain tumors, or stroke). Concerning clinical linguistics, we welcome
all areas of speech-language disorders, such as dysarthria,
stuttering, or childhood apraxia of speech. Examples of research
techniques that we seek for this Section are functional and structural
MRI, ERP, spectrographic analysis, laryngoscopy, Wada testing, and
awake brain surgeries, but also novel assessment tools. We are
interested in studies on monolinguals, as well as bi- and/or
multilinguals.
