Description:
The Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University in Washington,
DC invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor
position in Computational Linguistics, beginning in August, 2024.
We seek candidates with a commitment to excellence in research and
teaching in any area of Computational Linguistics or NLP. The
candidate will be expected to lead a vibrant research program, and

Of particular interest for this position are linguistically-grounded

The new hire will join a computational linguistics concentration with
faculty who specialize in syntax, semantics, and discourse processing
in text. The Linguistics Department at Georgetown is committed to a
diversity of perspectives on language, and houses concentrations in
computational linguistics as well as theoretical, socio-, and applied
linguistics.
A Ph.D. in Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field is
required. Applicants must have the Ph.D. in hand by the time of the
appointment.
Georgetown University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action
Employer fully dedicated to achieving a diverse faculty and staff. All
