Description:
SHORT-TERM FELLOWSHIPS FOR DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS at the Collaborative
Research Center 1629
“Negation in language and beyond” (NegLaB)
The Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) “Negation in language and
beyond” (SFB 1629 NegLaB) at Goethe University Frankfurt focuses on a
comprehensive exploration of the topic of negation in language and
cognition. The general aim of the CRC is to unravel the complexities
of negation across different languages and its implications for our
understanding of linguistic competence and cognition by employing
diverse empirical methods, including corpus analyses and experimental
studies. The CRC comprises 15 projects, organised in three research
domains. Details can be found here:
https://www.uni-frankfurt.de/149292001/Negation_in_Language_and_Beyond
In this first call, we offer three 4-month short-term fellowships for
international doctoral researchers. We look for applicants who wish to
pursue their own research proposal in close connection to the research
focus of the CRC. The fellowship enables young researchers to
collaborate with experts from the CRC and with international invited
experts on the topic of negation. We offer a stimulating international
collaborative environment, trainings in methodology and data
evaluation as well as measures fostering individual career
development.
Applications should indicate the research area to which the proposal
relates or, if applicable, the specific research projects of the SFB
with which the collaboration is intended.
