Call for Book Chapters Proposals: The Language of Sex
Vernon Press cordially invites scholars to submit book chapter
proposals for an upcoming scholarly volume on The Language of Sex,
edited by Dr Lutendo Nendauni.

Summary

The intersection of language and sex is a rich and multifaceted area
of study, encompassing a wide range of topics from gendered
communication patterns and sexual discourse to the impact of language
on sexual identity and relationships. This volume seeks to explore the
diverse ways in which language shapes, and is shaped by, our
understanding and expression of sex and sexuality. We aim to gather a
comprehensive collection of research that explores the nuances of this
intersection, drawing from various disciplines and methodological
approaches.

The objective of this volume is to provide a broad and inclusive
examination of how language influences and reflects sexual attitudes,
behaviours, and identities. We welcome contributions that employ a
variety of methodologies, including but not limited to,
autoethnographic work, clinical studies, case studies, surveys,
experiments, critical theory pieces, longitudinal studies, interviews,
focus groups, traditional ethnographic work, descriptive studies, and
pure observation studies.

Possible themes include, but are not limited to:

Linguistic expressions of sexual identity and orientation
The role of language in sexual education and communication
Gendered language and its impact on sexual relationships
