Call for Book Chapters: Edited Book "Cantonese and Digital Humanities"
(working title)

Dear colleagues,

The Linguistic Society of Hong Kong (LSHK) and the Division of
Languages and Communication (LC, PolyU CPCE) successfully co-organized
the 24th Workshop on Cantonese (WOC-24) on July 6, 2024. The theme of
the workshop was “When Cantonese Meets Digital Humanities”. To
continue the heated-discussions, LSHK plans to publish an edited book
on “Cantonese and Digital Humanities” through PolyU Press. We are now
cordially inviting regional and international scholars (including
participants and non-participants of WOC-24) to share their works of
this theme. Please see the details below:

Language
English or Chinese (Traditional Chinese)

Length
A maximum of 20 pages (using a 12pt font size; including title,
abstract of 300 words, 3-5 keywords, and reference list).

Publication fee
Free, contributor(s) of each chapter will receive five books as a
token of appreciation

Submission instructions
Interested parties should fill in the e-form (https://forms.office.com

250-word abstract of your paper on or before September 9. After
receiving your form, we will contact you shortly. Your submission of
the full paper is expected to reach us at CantoneseDH at outlook.com by
31st December, 2024.

Timeline of publication
Abstract Submission Deadline: September 9th, 2024
Full Submission: December 31st, 2024
Notification of Review Results: Early March, 2025
Publication: June, 2025
